Altes Rathaus in Grevesmuehlen

The restaurant has been closed since 2019, there is no breakfast option. The outside of the hotel is neglected, weeds are growing everywhere. At first we thought it was closed. The keys for the room are handed over easily. There is a key. The rooms are very dark as a curtain three quarters of the window, which unfortunately cannot be changed. Screws come out of the wall on the curtain bracket. The rooms are vacuumed and the towels are changed if necessary. The rooms are only cleaned on request, by means of a sign on the handle. The toilets are apparently not cleaned on a daily basis. The TV had strong stains on the screen, it was not possible to see it properly. The beds are super hard, a relaxed sleep was not possible. Unless you like it very hard. The hallway is not clean. The location is very close to the city. The parking situation is extremely difficult. In addition, there are 2 construction sites at the adjacent houses. These are being restored. A cash payment via PayPal to an email address without prior invoice is requested. Quite unusual. We requested an invoice in advance and received it. I don't recommend this hotel.

Small rooms. There is no breakfast at all. With me it was more broken. But it's not expensive either. Still, I can't recommend it.

Nice but bed and especially the pillows need a lot better. Breakfast quite nice but they fly downright dirty!

An old-established establishment with a dingy touch. The breakfast at the bakery next door is by far better, more attractive and you also sitting comfortably.

The hotel makes a good impression from the outside, but it seems somehow empty. The impression was wrong, because the hotel was well booked and is particularly popular with guests of the Piraten Openair. But the range of hotels in Grevesmühlen is also quite manageable ... Room: Accessible only by stairs and the rooms on the 2nd floor with a rather steep staircase. Rooms are relatively large and spartan. Everything is clean ... Well the carpet needs a deep cleaning but 4 star hotels have the same problem. Beds: Bad!!! The Ikea mattress is way too thin, I felt the slatted frame on my back and the bed frame creaked loudly. It has to be improved! What to think about: 1. Blackout curtains, because the current ones are not suitable. 2. More socket, because there is only one free and it is in the bathroom. In the age of smartphones, there should be a few more. Cleanliness: Very well WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS: Fast and free Staff: Nordic, friendly ... 😉 Breakfast: Clear but good. And finally no filter coffee from large pots but from a fully automatic machine. Very well!!! Prices: 75 € for a double room with breakfast would be ok if there were new beds soon ... Parking: Several free hotel parking spaces Otherwise on the street with a parking ticket Conclusion: A hotel that has seen its best years. The check in times are also rather unusual: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the check out times until 10 a.m. ... It's funny. A little investment would have to be made in comfort, then we could recommend it.

For the night in order and in winter very convenient for the location. The breakfast is rather spartan but you get full. Price performance fits.

Very good hotel. An old building that has been lovingly restored. A real experience to sleep here. The hotel is in the middle of the city. It is rare to live in such a central location. There is free Wi-Fi, which you can use in the room. I had a room at the top and had a very good reception. Everything is clean and the staff is very good. A real recommendation from me. Thumbs up!!!

We stayed there for two nights. Accommodation suitable for sleeping. Rooms and equipment unfortunately a bit getting old. Some renovations in the bathroom would be needed. The breakfast buffet was very well arranged and not exactly balanced. Some fresh fruit would have been nice. Also unpleasant was the cigarette smell of the staff at breakfast.

To sleep top ... cleanliness is so keeps in borders ... The breakfast is with two stars because you only get the rest of what others do not want ... The staff are all fine.

Good food

My single room was equipped with the necessary. It seemed habitual and the toilet should have been cleaner. At breakfast no milk, no fork at sausage and cheese plate, yogurt corners from the supermarket, much could be improved by small changes. An employee the whole morning alone in the service is too little. All staff friendly and helpful which for me an extra star value. Otherwise I had only given 2. I would not spend more than one night here.

Rating restaurant: Very nice and helpful service. The food was not outstanding, but solidly cooked and reasonably priced. The drinks could have been better cooled in the summer temperatures. Hotel rating: Large clean room (family room) with a large bathroom. Unfortunately too warm in summer due to the location under the roof, fans or similar. unavailable. The room was well furnished with a table, chairs, closet and clothes rack. Breakfast buffet with enough choice and nice service.
